Independence Day Serves As A Reminder Of Founding Fathers’ Sacrifices – Ijede LCDA Chair

The Executive Chairman, Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDa) of Ikordu Division area of Lagos State, Southwest, Nigeria, Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, has described the Independence Day as a special day that reminded us of the sacrifices of the Nigeria’s founding fathers and patriots made to achieve the country’s freedom.

She said that the country has remained united despite numerous challenges, and called on Nigerians to continue to give their support to President Bola Tinubu, to restore the economy.

“I join the good people of Ijede LCDA and our fellow Nigerians in celebrating the 64th Independence Anniversary of our beloved country.

“Independence Day is a special occasion to honor the unity, diversity, and strength of Nigeria. It serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by our founding fathers and patriots in breaking the chains of colonialism and securing our freedom.

“Despite the challenges our nation faces, it is noteworthy that we have remained united and indivisible. Our collective efforts and support for President Bola Tinubu’s policies are crucial as we work to restore our economy, create jobs, enhance security, and combat corruption.

“To achieve the great nation we aspire to, let us be patient, resilient, and recommit to the principles of justice, equality, and freedom that define our nation. I encourage everyone to join in the celebrations and appreciate the blessings of living in a free and independent country.
